The USA imposed sanctions on Ukrainian companies for aiding Iran
The United States of America has imposed sanctions against two Ukrainian companies, which, according to Washington, assisted Iran in the production of drones and missiles. Also targeted with restrictions were 32 individuals and legal entities from other countries.
As stated in the document, Iranian procurement agent Bahram Tabibi organized a global network to acquire aerospace components – including position indicators and magnetometers – through shell companies in various countries. Among them were Ukrainian companies – LLC "GК Imperative Ukraine" and LLC "Ekofera".
"Iran continues to use the international financial system to launder money, purchase technologies for weapons development, and support terrorist groups," said John K. Gerly, Deputy Minister of Finance of the USA for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence.
The purchased materials were supplied to the company Iran Aircraft Manufacturing Industries Corporation (HESA), where they were used to produce military aircraft and the Ababil drones. Iranian citizens Batul Shafiyeh and Saeed Pahlavani Nejad participated in the supply scheme – they coordinated deliveries, made payments to Ukrainian companies, and acted as intermediaries between HESA and suppliers.
According to open data, the company LLC "GК Imperative Ukraine," which was subjected to sanctions, is registered in Kharkiv and specializes in wholesale trade of consumer goods.
