The USA approved the sale of Patriot spare parts and Starlink services to Ukraine
The U.S. Department of State has approved a potential sale to Ukraine of equipment for the Patriot air defense system, as well as Starlink satellite communication services, reports the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency
Regarding the Patriot equipment, this pertains to a program valued at approximately $179.1 million. It will include goods and services not classified as Major Defense Equipment (MDE). That is, it does not involve the Patriot launchers themselves but their support, such as spare parts, software, technical documentation, training, maintenance, and more.
The main contractors will be RTX Corporation and Lockheed Martin.
Separately, the U.S. State Department approved a potential sale of Starlink services and related equipment to Ukraine for $150 million.
