The preparatory hearing in the case of Ihor Kolomoisky was postponed, due to a request for a collegial hearing of the case related to the misappropriation of PrivatBank funds.

Podilskyi District Court of Kyiv has postponed its preparatory hearing in the case of businessman Ihor Kolomoiskyi, which considers the damages caused to Privatbank and Ukrnafta. This information was confirmed by a correspondent of Urinform.

During the hearing, both parties to the trial, Serhiy Volkov and Kolomoisky himself, expressed their desire for a collegial review of the case. Judge Lyudmyla Kazmyrenko noted that this request would be transferred to the chancellery for automatic distribution of the case

The details of the next hearing remain unknown. After the hearing started, the court granted the lawyers' motion and allowed Kolomoisky to be next to his defence lawyers, taking him out of the glass box

We remind you that on 7 September 2023, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) announced suspicions to Kolomoisky and five members of his organised group of misappropriation of PrivatBank funds in excess of UAH 9.2 billion

On 23 September 2025, prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office submitted an indictment against Kolomoisky and a former shareholder of PrivatBank to the court. Materials on five other persons involved in the group were separated into separate proceedings

Also, on 2 September 2023, the Bureau of Economic Security and the Security Service of Ukraine served Kolomoisky with two more suspicions under articles of the Criminal Code: fraud and legalisation (laundering) of the proceeds of crime.

According to BES and SBU officials, Kolomoisky legalised more than half a billion hryvnias between 2013 and 2020 using the infrastructure of banking institutions under his control.
