Syryskyi spoke about the situation on the front line: Russia is building up its forces
This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on Telegram.
Russia is building up its forces in the south
Syrskyi reported that he had been working in military units and sub-units carrying out tasks in the hottest sectors of the Southern Operational Zone. According to the Commander-in-Chief, Russian troops continue to step up their efforts. In the Oleksandrivka sector alone, the enemy group numbers over 71,000 troops. Russia has concentrated roughly the same number of occupiers in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors. Syrskyi noted that the situation remains fluid, with active combat operations being conducted by both Russian troops and the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
Ukrainian units will be reinforced
The Commander-in-Chief conducted on-site inspections together with the commander of the Airborne Assault Forces group, Major General Oleg Apostol, and the commanders of combat units. The military discussed the situation on the front line, the fulfilment of tasks and the further strengthening of the Ukrainian army’s positions. According to Syrskyi, he supported the commanders’ initiatives regarding active operations and decided to provide additional technical equipment and ammunition to the units. Separately, the Commander-in-Chief emphasised that the preservation of Ukrainian soldiers’ lives remains the top priority. Syrskyi also held a meeting with Robert Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, regarding the development and use of drones, in particular for striking the enemy at operational depth.
