The General Staff has reported that the Russian army has suffered over 880 casualties in the past 24 hours
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported that, as of 22 May 2026, the Russian army’s total combat losses in the war against Ukraine have reached approximately 1,353,860 personnel.
According to the Ukrainian command, over the past 24 hours, the Defence Forces have eliminated a further 880 Russian soldiers.
Also over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces destroyed one tank, three armoured fighting vehicles and 57 artillery systems.
The Russian army’s total losses since the start of the full-scale invasion amount to 11,944 tanks, 24,594 armoured fighting vehicles and 42,511 artillery systems.
In addition, the Ukrainian Defence Forces have destroyed 1,798 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,390 air defence systems, 436 aircraft and 353 helicopters.
The General Staff also reported the destruction of 304,659 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles, 4,632 cruise missiles, 33 ships and boats, and two submarines.
Losses of Russian military vehicles and tankers amount to 98,205 units, and specialised equipment to 4,207 units.
The General Staff noted that the data is still being finalised.
