The General Staff has reported that the Russian army has suffered over a thousand casualties in the past 24 hours
As of 26 May 2026, the total combat losses of Russian forces since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine stand at approximately 1,357,950 personnel. Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has lost a further 1,010 troops.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Also, according to the General Staff, Russia has lost 11,954 tanks, one of which was destroyed in the last 24 hours.
The number of armoured combat vehicles destroyed has reached 24,615, artillery systems — 42,751, multiple launch rocket systems — 1,804, and air defence systems — 1,397.
The Russian army’s losses of operational-tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles stand at 312,035 units, of which 1,790 were lost in the last 24 hours.
The Ukrainian military has also destroyed 99,374 vehicles and tankers, 4,221 units of specialised equipment and 1,475 ground-based robotic systems.
Furthermore, since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 4,687 cruise missiles, 33 ships and boats, as well as two submarines.
The General Staff noted that the figures are being updated.
