The US has completely rejected Iran’s 14-point plan for resolving the conflict
Iran has presented the United States with a 14-point plan to resolve the conflict, but Washington has rejected all the proposals outright.
This was reported by the Tehran Times.
According to the newspaper, Tehran received a written response from the US in which the American side refused to support any of the points proposed by Iran.
The article also notes that the United States continues to adhere to an approach based on pressure against Iran, particularly on issues related to the country’s nuclear programme.
The Iranian side proposed holding negotiations in two stages.
According to the plan, the first stage was to lead to the cessation of hostilities on all fronts. If Iran’s conditions were met, the parties were to move on to the second stage of negotiations, which would concern the nuclear issue.
It was previously reported that US President Donald Trump had rejected Iran’s response to a previous peace proposal aimed at ending the wider conflict that has affected the global economy.
After receiving Iran’s counter-proposal, conveyed via Pakistan as an intermediary, Donald Trump stated that Tehran was “playing games”.
The US president posted a corresponding message on his social media platform, Truth Social.
