During the session of the Verkhovna Rada on 12 June, Andrii Levus was sworn in as a Member of Parliament. He will join the European Solidarity parliamentary group.

This was revealed during the broadcast of the parliamentary session.

Levus will replace Stepan Kubiv in parliament, who died on 18 May.

Andriy Levus is a public and political figure, head of the ‘Maidan Self-Defence’ command, deputy head of the SBU in 2014, and a member of the previous parliament for the ‘People’s Front’. He stood for parliament in the 2019 snap elections on the European Solidarity party list.

In 2022, Levus joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and in September 2024 he was demobilised on health grounds.

The day before, another new MP, Mykola Davydiuk, was sworn in in parliament.
