Trump announced a large-scale prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia in the near future
American President Donald Trump announced that a large-scale prisoner exchange has been agreed upon between Russia and Ukraine, reports "European Truth".

Trump became the first Western official to comment on the exchange, which was agreed upon during negotiations in Istanbul.

"(The) large-scale prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine has just been finalized," reads the US president's post on the social network Truth Social.

Additionally, Trump's statement suggests that the exchange has not yet actually taken place. "It will take effect soon. Congratulations to both sides on reaching this agreement. Could this be the beginning of something big?" he concluded his post.

 An interlocutor of "European Truth" in the security services stated that the exchange is not yet complete. According to him, the process is ongoing. "It will come into effect soon. Congratulations to both sides on reaching this agreement. Could this be the start of something big?" wrote the American president.
