In 2026, 90% of Ukrainian defence industry companies received requests for international partnerships
This has been reported by the press office of the Ukrainian Tech Forces.
Since the start of the year, the companies surveyed have received the most enquiries regarding partnerships from the following countries:
- USA – 36%;
- Germany – 29%;
- Denmark – 21%;
- UAE – 19%;
- United Kingdom – 17%.
In addition to direct exports of finished products, which remain a priority for 79% of companies, the sector is demonstrating a readiness for more complex forms of cooperation. Over 64% of manufacturers are focused on establishing joint ventures (JVs), whilst 43% are prepared to transfer technology.
This indicates the gradual integration of the Ukrainian defence industry into international production chains and a shift towards long-term cooperation.
To realise this potential, arms manufacturers expect decisive regulatory action from the state. The key demands of the business community are the simplification of procedures (64% of respondents), a reduction in document processing times (50%) and the establishment of transparent rules of the game (42%).
The companies surveyed emphasise that an effective export control system and deregulation are critical conditions for domestic arms to enter global markets.
