In Donetsk region, the mandatory evacuation of children with their parents from 19 settlements has been introduced. The decision was made during an expanded meeting of the Coordination Centre for Evacuation Measures.

This was announced by Oleksiy Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister for Recovery of Ukraine, Minister of Communities and Territories Development Alexiy Kuleba. According to him, the main task of all services and authorities is to ensure the safest and most understandable evacuation with support for people at every stage.

Separately, the headquarters decided to evacuate about 200 people with reduced mobility from boarding schools in Zaporizhzhia Oblast to Chernivtsi Oblast. The Ministry of Social Policy and the Ministry of Finance are working on funding to create safe and decent living conditions for people in the new location.

All evacuees arrive at transit centres where they receive comprehensive assistance. This includes medical, humanitarian and psychological support, legal and social support, restoration of documents, payment of benefits and search for further accommodation. The hotline 15 48 is open around the clock.

Since 1 June, more than 147,000 people have been evacuated from the frontline areas of Ukraine. Among them are more than 17,000 children and more than 5,000 people with reduced mobility. The evacuation is being carried out by rescuers, police, communities, volunteers and international partners.
