KABs strike on Kharkiv: two dead, adults and a baby wounded
Russian troops struck Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs on 26 December, targeting the Shevchenkivskyi district. According to confirmed reports, two people were killed and at least four others were wounded, including a nine-month-old girl.
The attack was reported by the mayor of the city, Igor Terekhov. According to him, one of the unmanned aerial vehicles hit one of the city's busiest roads. Several cars caught fire on the spot, and windows were smashed in the surrounding buildings. There were people in the burning vehicles.
The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov, said that medics are providing all necessary assistance to the wounded. He also informed about the temporary blocking of traffic on Klochkivska Street from Oleksiyivska Street to Peremohy Avenue and urged drivers to plan their routes taking into account the restrictions.
Emergency services continue to work on the spot, the consequences of the shelling are being clarified. The strike on civilian infrastructure on one of the city's key transport arteries has once again emphasised the risks to civilians in frontline Kharkiv.
