Ukrainian Air Force strikes two Russian vessels with weapons in the Caspian Sea
The operation was carried out together with the Black Spark rebel movement, and Russian sanctioned vessels were targeted

Ukrainian Special Operations Forces, together with the Black Spark insurgent movement, conducted a unique operation in the Caspian Sea, striking two Russian vessels off the coast of the Republic of Kalmykia. This was reported by the SOF of Ukraine.

According to the rebel movement, they provided the Ukrainian military with detailed information about the route and cargo, which allowed them to deliver an accurate strike. The targeted vessels, the Composer Rachmaninoff and Askar Saridzha, are under US sanctions for their involvement in the transport of military cargo between Iran and Russia. Both vessels were used by the Russian regime to transport weapons and equipment.

The FSS emphasises that the consequences of the attack are very serious, and the operation itself demonstrates a new level of asymmetric actions aimed at undermining the logistical capabilities of the Russian army.

Ukrainian units continue to carry out targeted strikes on critical supply routes for the enemy, developing the tactics of a thousand cuts, which allows to systematically reduce the potential of the occupation forces.
