The Ukrainian delegation for negotiations with the Russian side in Turkey will be led by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, announced Volodymyr Zelensky.

Zelensky noted that he held a meeting regarding the necessary results of negotiations for Ukraine: "I have instructed to form a delegation for negotiations with the Russian side. Rustem Umerov will lead the delegation, which will include representatives of Ukrainian intelligence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and the Office of the President."

The President emphasized that Kyiv is ready to "work as productively as possible" for the liberation of prisoners, the return of kidnapped children, the cessation of killings, and for the preparation of a summit of leaders to "bring this war to a real end."

"Our position is as transparent as possible. Ukraine has never wanted this war, and it is Russia that must end the war it itself started," Zelensky stated.
