Unmanned aerial systems struck 18 oil facilities in Russia during May
Robert Brovdi, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, whose call sign is ‘Madyar’, reported that during May, Ukrainian drones struck 18 oil facilities belonging to the Russian occupiers on Russian territory and in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.
According to him, facilities in Moscow, Saratov, Tuapse, Volgograd, Yaroslavl, Novorossiysk, Grushova, Syzran, Kstovo, Ryazan, Taman, Perm, Kirishi, Samara, Primorsk, Taganrog, as well as gas processing plants in Astrakhan and Orenburg, were hit.
Brovdi noted that as a result of the attacks, primary oil and gas processing facilities and fuel storage tanks were ablaze.
According to him, more than half of the facilities on the list were shut down or ceased operations within a month.
The Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces also added that this list does not include numerous oil depots on Russian territory and in the temporarily occupied territories that were struck in May.
He specifically mentioned the oil terminal in Feodosia, as well as a number of oil pumping stations and chemical plants on Russian territory.
“18 has been my favourite number throughout the war; those involved know this very well. And yes, 20 litres of fuel in one hand in Crimea – that sounds promising,” noted Robert Brovdi.
