Verkhovna Rada extends the term of general mobilisation in Ukraine
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a law on approving the Presidential Decree on extending the term of general mobilisation. MPs supported the relevant draft law No. 14367 in the first reading as a basis and as a whole
The document was developed in accordance with Article 10 of the Law of Ukraine "On Mobilisation Preparation and Mobilisation" and is aimed at ensuring the defence capability of the state in the context of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine
The Law approves the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated 12 January 2026 No. 41/2026, which amended the Decree of 24 February 2022 No. 65/2022 «On General Mobilisation». According to the decision, the period of general mobilisation is extended from 3 February 2026 for another 90 days
General mobilisation in Ukraine has been ongoing since February 2022 and has been repeatedly extended due to military operations and the needs of the security and defence sector
