Verkhovna Rada extends the term of general mobilisation in Ukraine

Following a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that protection against ballistic missiles should be one of the key areas of support for Ukraine. He said that the current pace and scale of deliveries under the PURL programme are insufficient.

Israel and Lebanon have agreed to abide by the terms of the ceasefire following talks involving the US. Against this backdrop, hopes remain for a broader agreement to end the war between the US, Israel and Iran.

During a meeting of the Ukraine–NATO Council in Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasised the need to strengthen Ukraine’s air defences and increase supplies of Patriot interceptor missiles. He also thanked partners for their support of Ukraine and for attending the Alliance meeting in the Ukrainian capital.

Greece has officially lodged a complaint with Ukraine regarding an unmanned maritime vehicle discovered near the island of Lefkada.

The former President of Poland stated that, since 2023, the “circumstances” and Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s behaviour had changed. He agreed that the decision to strip Zelenskyy of his award should be taken by Navrotsky.

During the night of 3–4 June, Russian forces launched strikes on a number of regions in Ukraine. The attacks have resulted in casualties and caused damage to residential buildings, infrastructure and businesses.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have carried out hundreds of attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defence Forces and on Ukrainian towns and villages. The enemy remained most active in the Pokrovsk, Huliaipole and Lyman sectors.

Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has lost a further 1,300 troops in the war against Ukraine. The Defence Forces have also destroyed dozens of enemy vehicles and weapons.

In Druzhkivka, in the Donetsk region, a Russian FPV drone struck an armoured vehicle belonging to the ‘Proliska’ humanitarian mission, which was being used to evacuate civilians. The driver was unharmed, but the vehicle sustained damage.

The Defence Procurement Agency (DPA) has signed contracts for the supply of 1,500 motorcycles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
