Military denies information about occupation of Andriivka in Sumy region
Russian troops continue to be active in the north-east of Ukraine, particularly in Sumy region. Against this backdrop, the analytical resource DeepState has reported on the alleged occupation of the village of Andriivka in the Khotyn community
According to updated DeepState data, the enemy could have taken control of the settlement. However, Ukrainian military officials denied this information
As early as 5 January, the spokesman for the Kursk military group, Alexander Nevidomyi reported that Andriivka was under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. After the new reports were circulated, the group's communications centre emphasised that the situation had not changed
The military stated that Andriivka was and remains under the full control of the Kursk group of forces, and there are no grounds to talk about its occupation
In addition, it is reported about the activity of Russian troops near another settlement in Sumy region - Grabovske. According to local sources, the enemy is remotely mining the area, using FPV drones for reconnaissance, ammunition drops and aerial mine placement. Russian forces are likely trying to turn the village into a fortified outpost
