Reservists with deferment or reservation do not undergo a medical examination
Those liable for military service who have a valid deferment from conscription or reservation are not sent for a military medical commission.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced that reservists who have a valid deferment from conscription or reservation are not sent for military medical examination (VLK).

This is reported on the Ministry of Defense website.

This is established by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 560 dated May 16, 2024, which regulates the procedure for conscription during mobilization.

At the same time, there are exceptions when individuals with a deferment or reservation still must undergo a medical examination:

  • in case of entering military service under contract;

  •  if the person was previously recognized as limited fit, but has not undergone a re-examination (except for persons with disabilities);

  • at the voluntary request of the reservist.
