In Kharkiv, another Russian attack has damaged Jewish Cemetery No. 3 in the Saltivka district. One of the missiles struck directly on its territory.

A recent Russian missile strike on Kharkiv has caused damage to Jewish Cemetery No. 3 in the Saltivka district. According to ThePublic.info, citing information from the local Jewish community, one of the missiles landed directly on the cemetery grounds, leaving visible destruction.

Representatives of the Jewish community expressed deep shock and outrage, stating that they will work together with the city authorities to restore the affected area and preserve the memory of those buried there.

The site of the strike was visited by Kharkiv’s Rabbi Moshe Moskovitz, who inspected the aftermath of the attack and held a prayer at the scene.

In a statement by the Federation of Jewish Communities of Ukraine, it was noted that nearly four years of full-scale war have had a profound impact on the Jewish community in Kharkiv. During this time, the following sites have suffered damage:

  • the Jewish kindergarten and school,

  • the yeshiva on Chebotarska Street,

  • the territory of the Drobytsky Yar memorial,

  • the synagogue windows,

  • the rabbi’s residence and homes of community members.

There have also been casualties among parishioners, which the community describes as a tragic reflection of wartime reality.

Despite the ongoing attacks, the community emphasizes that it continues to uphold its traditions and provide support to those affected.
