Zelenskyy has arrived in Romania for the ‘Bucharest Nine’ summit
Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced his arrival in Romania on Telegram.
According to the president, important meetings are scheduled on the sidelines of the summit.
“We all need joint decisions and joint efforts to ensure greater security for everyone. We will mobilise additional resources for our defence and expand the Drone Deals initiative,” the head of state noted.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also announced that Olena Zelenska will meet with Romania’s First Lady and take part in the signing of memoranda on the accession of Romanian universities to the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies.
The “Bucharest Nine” summit is being held with the participation of Northern European countries.
The “Bucharest Nine” was established in 2015 as a framework for security cooperation. It comprises Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
Within this framework, meetings are held at the level of heads of state, foreign ministers and defence ministers.
