Zelensky: We will not give our land to the occupiers
Ukraine will not make territorial concessions to Russia during the peace agreement negotiations, but is ready for real solutions that will ensure a just and lasting peace.

The answer to the Ukrainian territorial issue is already in the Constitution of Ukraine. No one will retreat from this and cannot, stated the president. This was said by President Volodymyr Zelensky in a video address on the morning of Saturday, August 9.

Ukraine will not make territorial concessions during negotiations of a peace agreement with the aggressor country Russia.

"The answer to the Ukrainian territorial question is already in the Constitution of Ukraine. No one will retreat from this and cannot. Ukrainians will not give their land to the occupier," he stated.

Zelensky emphasized that "the Ukrainian people deserve peace, but all partners must understand what a dignified peace is."

"This war must be ended. And Russia must end it. Russia started it and is dragging it out, ignoring any deadlines. And that is the problem, not anything else," the head of state noted.

According to the head of state, Ukraine is ready for real decisions that can bring peace. But any decisions that are against Ukrainians, any decisions without Ukraine, are simultaneously decisions against peace.
