The President of Ukraine held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, at which he heard reports on the protection of energy facilities from strikes by the Russian Federation and their restoration.

This is reported by  ThePublic.info citing  the video address of the head of state.

According to him, on the eve of the heating season, the Russians are looking for ways to cause more harm to Ukrainians.

«Just in this strike on gas facilities alone, there were 35 missiles, including ballistic ones. A combined strike, only half of the missiles were shot down», — noted the president.

Zelensky emphasized the importance of ensuring that all people in need of support in each community receive it. «This is the direct responsibility of local leaders, from the regional level to each city, to each community. Resources for such assistance are available», — he noted.

On October 3, the Ministry of Energy reported that the Russians launched a massive attack on the gas transportation infrastructure in several regions of Ukraine overnight. DTEK announced the destruction of a gas extraction facility in the Poltava region.
