Zelensky: Ukraine has proposed to the RF to hold negotiations next week
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov proposed to the Russian side to hold a meeting next week.
The head of state shared this during an evening video address. Zelensky noted that "the negotiation dynamics need to be increased".
"We must do everything to achieve a ceasefire. And the Russian side needs to stop hiding from decisions: prisoner exchanges, the return of children, and the cessation of killings," the president emphasized.
He also reminded that Ukraine is ready for a summit at the leader level "to ensure a truly lasting peace".
Currently, according to Zelensky, negotiations are ongoing with the Russian side regarding a new prisoner exchange.
