Zelensky rejected the "Korean scenario" for Ukraine
He said this at a meeting with journalists, quoted by «Suspilne» and UNIAN.
Zelensky was asked whether they are currently discussing the "Korean scenario," meaning signing a ceasefire agreement rather than a full peace treaty. In response, he said that our situation is definitely different from Korea's, and the "Korean scenario" is only mentioned in the context of security guarantees that Ukraine must receive before the war ends.
«Security guarantees are needed earlier. Only in this sense. No one is considering a "Korean," "Finnish," or any other model. Because we have what we have. And no one knows what will ultimately happen. But we know the first step. We know what security guarantees are important to us. Guarantees that will prevent "Russians" from coming with new aggression,» he explained.
