Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited wounded soldiers at a medical facility in Kyiv and presented awards to defenders and medics who save lives.

Today, December 6, 2025, President Volodymyr Zelensky visited wounded Ukrainian soldiers who are currently receiving treatment at a medical facility in the capital.

The head of state spoke with the fighters who sustained severe injuries to their arms and legs, thanked them for their service and bravery, and also awarded them state honors — Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree, Orders of Courage II and III degrees, as well as the Medal for Military Service to Ukraine.

He expressed special gratitude to the medical personnel who daily save the lives of defenders and ensure their recovery after injuries. The doctors were awarded Orders of Princess Olga III degree, the Danylo Halytsky Order, and the Medal for Military Service to Ukraine.

In his address, the president emphasized: "Thank you for your service, for everything you have done for the country." He also called on relatives and loved ones to support the wounded so they can return to life as quickly as possible.

This visit is yet another of a series of measures demonstrating the state's attention to caring for defenders and the importance of medical assistance and rehabilitation during wartime.
