The media revealed details of the "very lucrative offer" from the US to Putin regarding Ukraine
During the visit of U.S. Special Envoy Steve Vitkoff to Moscow on Wednesday, August 6, Moscow allegedly received from the U.S. administration a "very advantageous proposal".
This is reported by the Polish publication Onet citing sources.
It is claimed that the key points of the proposal are as follows:
- Ceasefire in Ukraine, not a peace agreement;
- De facto recognition of Russia's territorial conquests (by postponing discussions on the issue for 49 or 99 years);
- Lifting most sanctions imposed on Russia, and in the long term, restoring energy cooperation, i.e., importing Russian gas and oil.
- The package also does not include guarantees not to expand NATO;
- Moscow also did not receive a promise to cease military support for Ukraine.However, according to Onet, this last point is allegedly accepted by the Russian side.
The statement by the Polish portal Onet is accurate. This was stated by Volodymyr Zelensky's advisor Dmytro Lytvyn in X social network.
According to him, Vitkoff or Putin's assistant Ushakov probably did not have time to disclose information about the negotiations to this portal.
«Yesterday, nothing of the sort was said during the leaders' conversation, and Vitkoff did not say anything like that; he was talking about other things», – wrote Lytvyn.
