Andriy Sybiga was born on 1 January 1975 in Zboriv, Ternopil Oblast. He has been working in the diplomatic service continuously since 1997.

Sybiga’s first major career breakthrough came in August 2016 with his appointment as Ukraine’s Ambassador to Turkey. In May 2021, he moved to the Office of the President, where he was responsible for foreign policy and the development of strategic partnerships. From April 2024, Sybiga served as First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs under Dmytro Kuleba.

Among Sibiga’s achievements, Volodymyr Fesenko, director of the Kyiv-based political research centre ‘Penta’, cited the establishment of strategic partnership relations with Turkey during his tenure as ambassador to that country.
