Engineers from the National Guard’s ‘Omega’ Special Operations Centre’s independent diving unit, in collaboration with Ukrainian IT specialists, have developed a maritime unmanned system (MUS).

This has been reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ press office.

The platform acts as a carrier for FPV drones: it transports them closer to the target, after which the drones engage the target.

The system has been developed to carry out combat missions in southern Ukraine. In the future, there are plans to adapt the system to intercept aerial targets, which will enable more effective defence of the coastline.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has released footage of the trials, showing operators working at the ground control station and the platform moving on the water. This demonstrates the successful integration of the new technology into the unit’s operational activities.
