A fire broke out in an industrial area in the Stavropol Krai following a drone attack
On the night of 13 July, the Stavropol Krai in Russia came under attack from drones. Following this, a fire broke out in the industrial zone of the village of Vyazniki.
The Governor of the Stavropol Krai, Vladimir Vladimirov, stated that the fire broke out in the industrial zone of the village of Vyazniki in the Shpakovsky District. According to him, fire brigades and other emergency services are working at the scene.
Local residents report that an oil depot was the target of the attack. Monitoring Telegram channels point to a fire at an oil depot located near the railway line in the village of Vyazniki.
According to ASTRA, this is the second attack on an oil depot in this village in the past week. The publication notes that another oil depot, located approximately 1.2 kilometres away, was attacked by drones on the night of 9 July. Earlier, Kommersant reported that the facility belongs to JSC ‘NK Rosneft Stavropolye’.
Videos of the fire have also been shared on social media. According to eyewitness accounts, fuel tanks at the facility caught fire.
At the time of publication, there had been no official confirmation that it was indeed the oil depot that had been hit.
