Russian attacks over the past 24 hours have resulted in fatalities and dozens of injuries across several regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia Region
On the evening of 12 July, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones. Thirteen people were injured in the strike, including a child.
According to Ivan Fedorov, 11 blocks of flats in the city were damaged, whilst another suffered significant destruction. The buildings’ façades, balconies, windows and roofs were damaged. Cars were also damaged, and windows were smashed at one of the hospitals.
A fire broke out in flats on the second to fourth floors of a residential block. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, which covered an area of 500 square metres, and rescued two residents using a ladder truck.
In total, over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 932 strikes on 51 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. There were 42 reports of damage to homes, cars, infrastructure and outbuildings.
Kherson region
Over the past 24 hours, 18 people were injured as a result of Russian aggression in the Kherson region.
Three multi-storey blocks and three private houses, petrol stations, minibuses and private cars were damaged. Five people were evacuated from the region’s de-occupied communities.
On the morning of 13 July, Russian troops shelled Novovorontsovka with artillery. A 68-year-old local woman was killed in the attack.
Dnipropetrovsk region
From the evening of 12 July, Russian troops attacked four districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region nearly 20 times using drones and artillery.
In the Nikopol district, the communities of Nikopol, Pokrovska, Marganetska and Chervonohryhorivska came under attack. A nursery, a café, blocks of flats and private houses, garages, cars and solar panels were damaged. A 59-year-old man was wounded and will receive outpatient treatment.
In the Kam’yanske district, infrastructure and a business were damaged, and fires broke out. In the Mykolaiv community of the Synelnykivskyi district, private homes were damaged. In the Novopil community of the Kryvyi Rih district, infrastructure was damaged.
Donetsk Oblast
According to Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Russian troops injured three residents of Kramatorsk on 12 July.
Odesa Region
As a result of the Russian attack on Odesa, the premises of a transport company were damaged. Six buses caught fire at the site of the strike, whilst a further 11 buses and six cars were damaged by the blast wave and debris.
Four private homes and a local sanatorium building were also damaged.
According to the State Emergency Service, four people were injured as a result of the attack. The head of the Odesa City Military Administration reported that, according to preliminary information, three men aged 58, 62 and 66 were injured. They were hospitalised with moderate injuries. Rescue workers and other emergency services were at the sites of the strikes.
