Over the past 24 hours, there have been 257 clashes on the front line; the General Staff has identified the hottest sectors
Day 1,601 of the Russian Federation’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 257 combat engagements took place on the front line over the past 24 hours.
Russian troops carried out 70 air strikes, dropping 246 guided bombs. The enemy also deployed 8,676 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,296 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, 32 of which were carried out using multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defence Forces’ air force, missile forces and artillery struck eight areas where enemy personnel were concentrated and four of their command posts.
Three combat engagements took place in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. The enemy carried out five air strikes, dropped 13 aerial bombs and carried out 96 shelling attacks, including five from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhansky sector, Russian troops attacked the positions of Ukrainian units 13 times in the areas of Starytsia, Vovchansk and in the directions of Hoptivka, Karaichne, Lyman, Hrafske, Mala Vovcha and Odradne.
In the Kupiansk sector, three attacks were recorded in the directions of Kupiansk and Novoplatonivka.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attempted to breach Ukrainian defences 18 times, launching attacks in the directions of Novyi Mir, Stepove, Drobysheve, Ozernyi, Lyman, Dibrova, Stavky, Novoselivka and Novomykhailivka.
In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy carried out 25 assaults in the direction of Rai Oleksandrivka and Piskunivka, as well as near Zakytne, Kryva Luka and Riznykivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops launched three attacks near Nikiforivka and in the direction of Malynivka.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, 24 attacks were recorded in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, and in the directions of Dovha Balka, Stepanivka, Vilne and Kucherov Yar.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled 38 enemy assaults in the areas of Rodynske, Hryshyne, Vasylivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiya and in the directions of Dorozhne, Serhiivka, Novyi Shakhovyi, Myrne and Novopavlivka.
On the Oleksandrivka front, the enemy launched two attacks in the directions of Vorone and Oleksandrohrad.
On the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers carried out 16 attacks in the directions of Vozdvizhivka, Olenokostiantynivka, Staroukrainka, Huliaipole, Tsvitkove, Varvarivka and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attempts to advance near Bilohirya and Luhivskyi.
In the Dnipro sector, the enemy did not carry out any offensive operations. In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected.
According to the General Staff, the Russian army lost 1,600 troops over the past day. Five tanks, three armoured fighting vehicles, 58 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, four air defence systems, seven missiles, 11 ground-based robotic systems, 1,734 drones, 494 vehicles and five pieces of specialised equipment.
