A major fire at a furniture factory in Irpin has been brought under control (VIDEO)
In the town of Irpin in the Kyiv region, firefighters extinguished a fire on the premises of an industrial plant. The fire engulfed a furniture manufacturing workshop.
Emergency services received a report of a fire on Sumgaitska Street in the town of Irpin, Bucha District, at 04:51.
Due to the high priority of the call, units were dispatched to the scene from Irpin, Bucha, Vyshneve, as well as the villages of Klavdievo-Tarasove, Kotsyubynske, Hostomel and Vorzel.
Upon arrival, the emergency services established that the fire had broken out in a furniture manufacturing workshop. There was a risk of the flames spreading to a nearby administrative building.
Thanks to the actions of the firefighters, the fire was contained and prevented from spreading to neighbouring buildings.
At 08:50, the fire was extinguished across an area of 5,200 square metres.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
