ATESH reported sabotage at a defence plant in Udmurtia
The ATESH movement announced a successful sabotage operation in Izhevsk, the capital of Udmurtia, which resulted in a partial power outage at the BUMMASH metallurgical plant. According to activists, a transformer substation that supplied electricity to key production facilities of the enterprise was put out of order by arson.
The movement notes that BUMMASH is one of the important elements of the Russian military-industrial complex. The plant supplies blanks and special alloys used in the production of weapons and heavy military equipment for the Russian Armed Forces.
According to ATESH, as a result of the targeted strike, the operation of one of the strategic enterprises in the Izhevsk industrial zone was halted for a certain period of time. Activists emphasise that the sabotage took place against the backdrop of demands by the Russian authorities to increase the pace of production of ammunition and military equipment.
