Britney Spears has been charged with drink-driving
This is according to the New York Times.
The case is classified as an administrative offence. The court hearing will take place on Monday, 4 May.
If Spears pleads guilty, she will be able to avoid a prison sentence. Prosecutors argue that this is possible when the driver’s blood alcohol level was low and there was no accident. The singer also voluntarily entered rehab, which may have a positive impact on the case.
As a reminder, Britney Spears was arrested for drink-driving in March 2026.
