Daniel Siad, who was linked to the Jeffrey Epstein case, has been found dead in France
The body of 69-year-old Daniel Siad was found on Monday at his home in Colombes, in the Oise department near Paris. French police have launched an investigation to establish the cause of death. According to BFMTV, these have not yet been officially confirmed.
Daniel Siad, who worked in the modelling industry as a model scout, was the subject of several criminal complaints, including allegations of rape and sexual assault. He was also suspected of recruiting young women for the American financier Jeffrey Epstein. Siad himself denied all the allegations and claimed that his contacts with Epstein were strictly professional.
During an interview with BFMTV in May 2026, he stated that he had introduced Jeffrey Epstein to models, but insisted that he was working as a casting director for Victoria’s Secret and knew nothing of the American financier’s private life. According to him, he merely brought the models to meetings and left them with Epstein once the discussions had concluded.
Daniel Siad’s name is mentioned in over two thousand documents relating to the Jeffrey Epstein case, which were declassified by the US Department of Justice.
According to the Paris public prosecutor’s office, 24 women have either approached the police or been identified, all of whom have reported incidents in which they were either victims or witnesses. The first to file a complaint, in February this year, was former Swedish model Ebba P. Karlsson. She claims that Siad raped her in 1990 in Cannes, when she was 20 years old. Siad himself has denied these allegations.
Daniel Siad’s lawyer, Menya Arab Tigrin, stated that her client had repeatedly asked to be questioned, but this had not happened. She also noted that, if death was caused by a heart attack, the constant psychological pressure and prolonged wait may have contributed to his condition. At the same time, the lawyer emphasised that the cause of death has yet to be determined following the post-mortem examination.
Following Daniel Siad’s death, the proceedings directly concerning him have been discontinued. However, France’s Central Directorate for Combating Human Trafficking is continuing its investigation into an alleged organised network which, according to the investigation, may have recruited young women for Jeffrey Epstein.
It should be recalled that Jeffrey Epstein, who was charged in the US with the sexual exploitation of minors and human trafficking, died in custody in 2019. As ThePublic recently reported, a US federal court has released a note allegedly written by financier Jeffrey Epstein shortly before his death. The document had remained classified for years.
