In 2025, the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine made significant progress in investigating and prosecuting officials, including submitting more than 7,400 indictments to court.

In 2025, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) actively continued its work to expose corruption and white-collar crime. By the end of the year, 7,420 indictments were submitted to the court against 7,901 people. Among them are officials, MPs, judges and law enforcement officials

In particular, criminal cases were sent to court against:

  • 3 officials of category "A";

  • In addition, in 2025, SBI officers served suspicion notices to 21,513 people as part of investigations and detained 2,017 people. The SBI focused on combating corruption in government agencies, documenting war crimes, and cleansing the judiciary

    Among the high-profile cases that caused a significant public outcry, we can highlight:

    • Suspicion of high treason against a former MP;
    • Detention of the former head of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv region;
