Power and communication outages following a massive attack
Power facilities were damaged during a heavy shelling raid on the night of 2 July. As a result, several regions were left without electricity.

This has been reported by the Ministry of Energy.

Power cuts are being reported in Kyiv, as well as in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions.

The situation remains most critical in the Sumy region. Here, the largest number of residents have been left without power due to damage to energy infrastructure caused by hostilities and shelling.

In addition, three workers were injured in an attack in the Donetsk region whilst they were repairing an energy facility.

However, no power cuts are currently forecast for today.

Mobile operator Vodafone has warned of possible disruptions to its fixed-line internet network due to the attack. The company emphasised that there may be temporary difficulties accessing certain services, including home internet, top-ups and the contact centre.

On the night of 2 July, the Russians launched a massive attack on Ukraine, with Kyiv as the main target. At least 13 people were killed in the capital, and around 90 were injured. The Russians fired 74 missiles and deployed nearly 500 drones.
