Friendly drones attacked a Russian Navy base on the Baltic Sea in Kronstadt
In Kronstadt, Russia, in the Leningrad Oblast, reports have emerged of a drone attack on facilities linked to the Russian Federation’s Baltic Fleet.
Telegram monitoring channels report that Ukrainian drones were heading towards the military port and shipyard, striking the base’s territory.
The frigate B-586 Kronstadt, the destroyer Admiral Levchenko and the Kronstadt Shipyard may have been under threat. Eyewitnesses also reported explosions and smoke in the vicinity of the military facilities.
It is currently known that four ships of the Baltic Fleet in the port of Kronstadt were hit. One of the ships hit was the corvette ‘Boyky’, which in 2025 repeatedly escorted shadow fleet vessels in the English Channel. In addition, the Kronstadt Shipyard has also sustained damage.
Kronstadt is the location of the Russian Federation’s main naval base on the Baltic Sea.
Ships of the Baltic Fleet provide cover for the ports of Primorsk, Vysotsk and Ust-Luga, and also escort tankers of the so-called shadow fleet in the waters of the Baltic Sea.
