HEETS and Fiit are being phased out in Ukraine: what will happen to existing IQOS devices?
This is reported on the official IQOS website in Ukraine. The article was published on 13 February 2026 and was later updated with information regarding the discontinuation of Fiit sales.
The official IQOS website confirms that Fiit is no longer on sale in Ukraine. HEETS sticks may still be available in some shops, kiosks and retail chains, but the range is gradually being phased out.
At the same time, the HEETS pages are still present in the official IQOS catalogue, but the availability of specific items depends on remaining stock. Sticks may also be available from third-party retailers until their existing stock runs out.
Therefore, this is not a case of both brands disappearing simultaneously on a specific date. Fiit has already been withdrawn from sale, whilst HEETS are gradually disappearing from the Ukrainian market.
Why are the sticks being phased out?
The manufacturer explains this as part of an update to its range of tobacco heating devices. Older IQOS systems with a blade or needle, specifically ORIGINALS DUO, ORIGINALS ONE, IQOS 3 DUO, IQOS 3 MULTI and IQOS 2.4+, are no longer sold in Ukraine.
The newer IQOS ILUMA and IQOS ILUMA i devices use different sticks – TEREA and DELIA. These have a metal plate inside and are heated using an electromagnetic field.
The company’s statement makes no mention of a government ban on HEETS or Fiit. The discontinuation of sales is specifically linked to changes in the range of devices and sticks.
What should owners of older IQOS devices do?
HEETS were designed for previous generations of IQOS, which heat tobacco using a built-in blade or needle. Fiit were mainly used with lil SOLID devices.
Once stocks of HEETS and Fiit run out, there may be no official sticks left for some older devices on the Ukrainian market. The manufacturer recommends switching to the IQOS ILUMA system, though this will require purchasing a different device.
TEREA and DELIA cannot be used with older IQOS models. These sticks contain a metal plate which could damage the blade or other heating element of an incompatible device.
BLENDS sticks are also not suitable for IQOS – they are designed for BONDS systems. neo sticks are intended for glo devices and are also not compatible with IQOS.
What alternatives are available?
For owners of the IQOS ILUMA and IQOS ILUMA i, the manufacturer states that TEREA and DELIA sticks are compatible. They are not suitable for earlier generations of devices.
Users of older IQOS models can continue to use HEETS whilst they remain on sale, switch to another compatible system, or stop using tobacco and nicotine-containing products.
It is important to note that the information about “alternatives” on the IQOS website is provided by a tobacco manufacturer. According to the World Health Organisation, all forms of tobacco use are harmful to health, and nicotine is addictive. Tobacco heating systems are not harmless.
