An 18-year-old girl has been arrested
An 18-year-old woman was arrested in Kyiv after hitting a 52-year-old soldier over the head with a bottle following a request to keep the noise down.

This was reported by the Kyiv police.

According to the investigation, the soldier was returning home after his shift and made a remark to an intoxicated young woman and her companion, who were being rowdy and swearing inside the trolleybus.

In response, the young people ‘started a fight’. Later, at a public transport stop, the 18-year-old woman struck the soldier on the head with a bottle.

The man was diagnosed with a contusion of the soft tissues of the head, and a closed head injury has been provisionally established. He refused hospitalisation.

Law enforcement officers detained the assailant and opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — intentional minor bodily harm. A notice of suspicion is currently being prepared for the detainee.

In addition, the police have drawn up administrative reports against the offenders under Article 173 of the Code of Administrative Offences (petty hooliganism) and Article 175-1 of the Code of Administrative Offences (smoking tobacco products in prohibited places).
