Andriy Yermak, the former head of the President’s Office, and businessman Timur Mindich — the main figure in Operation Midas — were summoned to appear before the High Anti-Corruption Court. However, neither of them attended.

This is reported by *Ukrainska Pravda*, citing sources “in political circles and the security sector”.

According to the publication, the hearing at the High Anti-Corruption Court concerned the seizure of property as part of criminal proceedings.

The list of property seized during the searches is described as “unusual”: not phones, laptops or other data storage devices, but remote controls for household appliances, personal hygiene items, footwear and clothing.

Such specific items seized may indicate preparations for biological examinations to establish the ownership of these items by specific individuals, believes journalist Mykhailo Tkach.

At the same time, as reported by UP, neither Mindich nor Andriy Yermak appeared at the hearing at the High Anti-Corruption Court.

The Midas case: what is known

Businessman Timur Mindich, who is implicated in a corruption case in the energy sector, is currently in Israel. Law enforcement agencies have already submitted documents for his extradition. The High Anti-Corruption Court has also remanded Mindich in custody in absentia. This procedure is necessary to issue an international arrest warrant.

Meanwhile, former Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, who resigned during the ‘Mindichgate’ scandal but was not charged, has resumed his legal practice, taken the helm of one of the committees of the National Bar Association of Ukraine (NAAU) and announced the creation of the civil society organisation ‘Justice for Ukraine’.

Immediately after his dismissal, Yermak stated that he was heading to the front line. However, the Ministry of Defence said that Yermak had not approached the territorial recruitment and social support centres regarding military service. Subsequently, the Ukrainian Army’s Ground Forces also confirmed that the former head of the Presidential Office was not serving with them.

Subsequently, Yermak began appearing in photos with soldiers fighting on the front line. Indeed, he recently travelled to the combat zone to advise the military.
