Igor Khmelov, a business partner of Timur Mindich, has been buying up land and holiday resorts near Bukovel for millions of dollars since 2022.

This is revealed in an investigation by Bihus.Info.

Igor Khmelov, a business partner of Timur Mindich – a figure in the ‘Midas’ case – and a former top manager at the defence company Fire Point, has been buying up plots of land and holiday complexes near Bukovel since 2022.

According to journalists, the assets in question are worth millions of dollars.

Bihus.Info notes that Khmelov remained out of the public eye for a long time, although his name appeared in business registers for almost 40 companies.

Journalists link most of these companies to the “Privat” group, entities associated with the family of MP Ihor Palytsia, and Timur Mindich’s business interests.

Links to the “Midas” case and Fire Point

Khmelov’s name is mentioned in recordings made by NABU detectives as part of Operation Midas.

According to Bihus.Info, participants in a large-scale corruption scheme in the energy sector discussed Khmelov in the context of his work for Fire Point.

Mindich’s possible involvement with Fire Point was also recorded.

Subsequently, Khmelov’s work at Fire Point was publicly confirmed by the company’s co-owner, Denis Shtilerman.

Land near Bukovel

In 2022, after the full-scale invasion had already begun, Khmelov began actively buying up plots of land in the village of Yablunytsia near Bukovel.

Initially, he did this independently, and later through the company “Eventus Management”, of which he was the owner at the time.

A restaurant, a hotel and a glamping site were already operating on the purchased plots.

Another hotel complex has recently been built there.

How many plots were registered

According to journalists, by January 2026, Eventus Management had registered 24 plots of land in its name.

Their total area is approximately 9 hectares.

The land alone, according to Bihus.Info’s estimates, could be worth around $4.5 million.

Departure from Ukraine and change of ownership

According to the journalists’ sources, Khmelov left Ukraine in November 2025.

This happened on the day of the searches at Timur Mindich’s premises.

After that, Khmelov began to withdraw from the business structures in which he was a co-owner, in particular from the company “Eventus Management”.

“Zlagoda Properties” became the new owner of the company.

At the same time, journalists suggest that actual control may not have changed, as management remained in the hands of a manager linked to Khmelov.

Were comments obtained?

Journalists were unable to contact Khmelov or the company’s new owners.

According to Bihus.Info, Timur Mindich visited the “Eventus” holiday complex in 2025.

As reported by ThePublic, Mindich challenged Zelenskyy’s sanctions decree in the Supreme Court
