NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has arrived in Kyiv
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte arrived in Kyiv on 3 June.
Ukrzaliznytsia announced his arrival, publishing photographs from the capital’s railway station. The visit had not been announced in advance.
Mark Rutte was met at the station by Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiga.
Ukrzaliznytsia emphasised that this visit is an important gesture of solidarity and support for Ukraine from the North Atlantic Alliance.
“Today, we are delighted to welcome NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at Kyiv station. This visit is extremely important, just like all the previous ones, as it is a gesture of solidarity and support for our country from the Alliance,” the company stated.
This is not Mark Rutte’s first visit to Ukraine in his capacity as NATO Secretary General. He has previously visited Kyiv since taking office.
