On the night of 28 April, a damaged object, provisionally identified as a drone, was discovered in Chișinău. Residents on the upper floors have been evacuated, and the object is being examined by bomb disposal experts.

This was reported by the Moldovan police on Facebook.

According to law enforcement officials, a report of a suspicious object in the central district of Chișinău was received from a local resident. Specialists from the bomb disposal unit arrived promptly at the scene and surveyed the area.

For safety reasons, residents of one of the blocks were temporarily evacuated whilst the object was being inspected and removed. It was handed over to experts for detailed examination.

According to preliminary findings, the object was damaged, presumably as a result of colliding with the building’s roof. The police are investigating all the circumstances of the incident.
