Andriy Sybiga on the cost of a single day of war for Ukraine
A single day of full-scale war with Russia costs Ukraine around $450 million. This was stated by Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga at the PISM Strategic Ark Conference, an international security conference held in Poland.

Andriy Sybiga made this statement during the PISM Strategic Ark Conference, an international security conference held in Poland.

Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha stated that a single day of full-scale war with Russia costs Ukraine approximately $450 million.

According to him, this is not just about financial costs, but also the human cost of war.

“One day of war costs Ukraine around $450 million. Moreover, we are paying with the blood of our soldiers. Therefore, this is the greatest challenge for us, because we are paying the highest price,” Sibiga said.

The minister noted that this year could be decisive for Ukraine in terms of achieving peace.

At the same time, according to Sibiga, this requires US involvement.

“We need their involvement, but at the same time we need their influence and pressure on Russia,” the Foreign Minister added.

Earlier, in September, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the cost of one year of war for Ukraine amounts to $120 billion. Of this sum, $60 billion is provided by the Ukrainian budget.

It also emerged last week that the government has planned for an additional trillion in revenue in the state budget. Of this, over 1.56 trillion hryvnias is earmarked for the security and defence sector.

As reported by ThePublic, the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) will spend 13.5 million hryvnias during the war on software for media analytics and the preparation of “aesthetic” reports
