Weather forecast for 14 May: which regions will see rain and where it will remain dry
Weather on 14 May
Today, 14 May, the weather will divide Ukraine into two contrasting parts – one wet and one dry. Rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas, whilst high-pressure conditions will prevail in other regions.

This was reported on Telegram by weather forecaster Natalka Didenko and the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre.

Weather in Ukraine

According to Didenko, the Left Bank of Ukraine will be under the influence of atmospheric fronts today, so intermittent rain is forecast here, with thunderstorms possible in places.

At the same time, much of the Right Bank will be under the influence of an anticyclone, so dry weather without significant rainfall will prevail there.

As specified by the "Ukrhydrometcentre", moderate rain will fall in the central regions, whilst during the day in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions, heavy rain is expected in places, with thunderstorms in some areas. In the western regions, as well as in the Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, there will be no precipitation.

Air temperatures will also vary significantly depending on the region.

"It will be coldest along the Chernihiv-Cherkasy-Kropyvnytskyi corridor and in areas as far as Mykolaiv Oblast – +12...+14 degrees. The warmest weather will be in the eastern regions – +20...+23 degrees, and in the rest of Ukraine +14...+17 degrees,” Didenko said.

Weather in Kyiv

Rain is forecast for the capital this evening. During the day, the air temperature will rise to around +16 degrees.
