Today, 22 April, cool weather with night-time frosts is expected to continue across Ukraine. Rain is forecast for the eastern regions, whilst the rest of the country is expected to remain dry.

This has been reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre.

Weather in Ukraine

According to forecasters, cold air continues to flow in from northern Europe, so frosts are expected overnight in most regions. At the same time, during the day, under partly cloudy conditions, the air will gradually warm up.

Most regions will see variable cloud cover. No precipitation is expected, although light rain is forecast in the east of the country. In the Carpathians, light rain and sleet are possible during the day.

The wind will be north-westerly, 5–10 m/s.

Night-time temperatures will be 0–3 degrees below zero, and 1–6 degrees above zero in the southern regions. Ground frosts of 0–3 degrees are also expected.

During the day, air temperatures across Ukraine will rise to 8–13 degrees above zero, and in the Carpathians to 3–8 degrees above zero.

Weather in Kyiv

Variable cloud cover is forecast for the capital today, with no precipitation.

The wind will be north-westerly, 5–10 m/s.

Frosts of 0-3 degrees are expected across the region overnight. During the day, temperatures will reach 8-13 degrees above zero.

In Kyiv, temperatures will be 1-3 degrees above zero at night, with ground frosts of 0-2 degrees. During the day, temperatures will rise to 10-12 degrees above zero.
