The Public Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the possible inclusion of a charitable donation in the cost of Ukrposhta’s services
The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office has examined a referral received from the Office of the Prosecutor General regarding possible criminal offences, according to a post on Facebook by Oleksiy Honcharenko, a Member of the Ukrainian Parliament.
The response states that the Investigative Department of the Shevchenkivskyi District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv is conducting a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings No. 12025100100001092 dated 21 March 2025.
The investigation concerns the possible unlawful inclusion by JSC ‘Ukrposhta’ of an additional 1 UAH in the cost of parcel delivery services as a charitable contribution, which was transferred to Milovanov’s fund.
The signs of the offence are classified under Part 1 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine as abuse of power or official position.
The appeal has been attached to the criminal case file for verification of the arguments set out therein and for consideration during the further investigation.
