Russian forces have begun fitting mock-ups of R60 missiles onto their Shahed-type strike drones.

This was reported by Sergei ‘Flash’ Beskrestnov, an adviser to the Minister of Defence.

According to him, the Russians’ aim is to intimidate the Ukrainian air force and draw the attention of interceptors.

“The army aviation knows how to respond to such things. But we have many interceptor units across various branches of the armed forces and agencies, and, of course, everyone will try to destroy such an ‘important’ target,” Beskrestnov noted.

He added that there is currently a need to devise a method for identifying such ‘Shaheds’ carrying dummy missiles.
