Russia has announced that traffic across the Crimean Bridge will be suspended

On the night of 16 May, vehicle traffic across the Crimean Bridge was temporarily suspended. The Russian side urged people on the bridge and in the inspection area to remain calm and follow the instructions of the security services

This has been reported by the Telegram channel “Crimean Bridge: Operational Information”

Traffic on the Crimean Bridge has been temporarily suspended

Vehicle traffic across the Crimean Bridge has been temporarily halted. This was reported by Russian sources linked to operational information regarding the bridge. The reasons for the traffic restrictions have not yet been officially specified. Meanwhile, people on the bridge or in the inspection area have been urged to remain calm and follow the instructions of transport security staff. Similar traffic closures on the Crimean Bridge have occurred on numerous previous occasions during air raid alerts, drone attacks or operations by Russian air defence forces.
